September was a big month for the kids; Cordelia turned 4 and started ballet, and Bobby started Grade 3. I already feel like I took for granted how relaxed the summer was, it really didn’t feel that way at the time. We have settled into a pretty good routine though, and while it does feel like we aren’t accomplishing everything we’d like to each week… we are happy and (mostly) healthy so that’s all that matters.
“Next week will be more positive, I promise – to you, and to myself.” That’s how WLW #9 ended almost 2 years ago. I kept putting off #10, I wanted to have something to show for it by then and I didn’t. I was back at 240 by the end of 2015 and stayed around that weight until July 30 when I finally decided enough was enough. I went out and bought myself some weight loss tech (a Fitbit Charge 2 and Nokia Body+ Smart Scale), re-downloaded MyFitnessPal and started that day.
Hard to believe that summer is almost over, I feel like it just started. (Seriously haven’t even unpacked Bobby’s backpack from last year yet and we have to do back to school shopping tomorrow!)
We spent the last two weekends up at my in-law’s cottage in Slave Lake; the long weekend with them and this past weekend just the four of us. Both weekends were absolutely wonderful, and while we have a ton of stuff around the house to catch up on it was totally worth it.
