Sorry it’s been quiet around here this week, but I am excited for this post today. I was given the opportunity to do a holiday look with THEFACESHOP through the CBB network. It’s not a brand I’ve used before, but I have heard great things so I was excited to test out all of these products. Here’s a look at what I received, and the final look I put together. Note: I wasn’t able to find these most of these products on the website which is why they aren’t linked. ♥
Dual Shading Pact
I found this very easy to apply and blend out – I like that I have the ability to apply light contouring with the lighter shade, and then darken it a bit with the darker shade without having to pull out multiple products. The included brush is nice and soft and I found it worked well for contouring, though I do still need an additional brush for blending it out.
Ink Lipquid in Pink Scarf
I’m not totally feeling this. It’s not typically a shade I would wear in the winter, but it might be something I try again when spring/summer arrives. The applicator is really soft and it applied well but it screams summer to me.
Freshian Volumizing Mascara
Big fan, though I wouldn’t say it’s Volumizing – it definitely gave me some length and has been a great every day mascara.
Dual Baked Shadow 05 BR01
Both shades are really nice and each half is large enough for a regular eyeshadow brush to pick up product without touching the other. The lighter shade applied and blended out really easily, the darker shade required a bit more work but I was still happy with it.
Gelset Smudgeproof Auto Liner
Brown eyeliner isn’t something I usually reach for, but for the look below I applied to my waterline and quickly smudged it out along my lower lash line and it stayed in place all day. I’ll be using it whenever I have a darker neutral eye. I love that it twists out so I won’t have to worry about sharpening it.
For the final look I ended up using a different lipgloss, though realizing as I type this that it’s supposed to be a festive look, I should have gone with a red lipstick! So pretend I am wearing a nice bold red lip instead of the plain gloss below… I also used Hourglass Mood Exposure and Becca Champagne Pop on my cheeks and KVD trooper on my eyes. ♥
I really enjoyed the opportunity to test out these products and overall I am quite impressed and very happy with the final look. (Minus the lack of bold lipstick… beauty blogger fail!)
