a festive holiday look with thefaceshop

festive holiday looks with THEFACESHOP Sorry it’s been quiet around here this week, but I am excited for this post today. I was given the opportunity to do a holiday look with THEFACESHOP through the CBB network. It’s not a brand I’ve used before, but I have heard great things so I was excited to test out all of these products. Here’s a look at what I received, and the final look I put together. Note: I wasn’t able to find these most of these products on the website which is why they aren’t linked. ♥

Dual Shading Pact

The included brush is nice and soft and I found it worked well for contouring, though I do still need an additional brush for blending it out.

Ink Lipquid in Pink Scarf

It’s not typically a shade I would wear in the winter, but it might be something I try again when spring/summer arrives. The applicator is really soft and it applied well but it screams summer to me.

Freshian Volumizing Mascara

Dual Baked Shadow 05 BR01

The lighter shade applied and blended out really easily, the darker shade required a bit more work but I was still happy with it.

Gelset Smudgeproof Auto Liner

I’ll be using it whenever I have a darker neutral eye. I love that it twists out so I won’t have to worry about sharpening it.

For the final look I ended up using a different lipgloss, though realizing as I type this that it’s supposed to be a festive look, I should have gone with a red lipstick! So pretend I am wearing a nice bold red lip instead of the plain gloss below… I also used Hourglass Mood Exposure and Becca Champagne Pop on my cheeks and KVD trooper on my eyes. ♥

(Minus the lack of bold lipstick… beauty blogger fail!)

Thank you to THEFACESHOP for sending these products for review.

  1. I’m so fascinated by the ink lipquid. What a neat name! I do like it on you, but like you said… I’m not sure when I’d personally want to wear it.

The final look is killer on you. It sets off your eyes so well (holy god… you’ve such gorgeous kaleidoscope eyes!)

Also, what the hell foundation are you wearing? Your skin look LUMINOUS!

    1. Yea I will definitely give it a shot in the summer and see if it resonates with me better…

Thank you ♥ My husband says the yellow ring is the demon part of me showing through. I use Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer by IT Cosmetics and Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation by Maybelline – seriously the best foundation I’ve ever used. The diffused flash I had to use because of no sunlight gives the glow lol

      1. Good to know! (re: concealer and foundation) I’ve yet to try that particular Maybelline one… hmmmm…

And that’s such a cute thing… demon part showing through. Although I suppose most people wouldn’t think that’s cute.. haha
