at home pampering: body shop spa of the world

the body shop spa of the world I rarely get the opportunity to go to the spa, so I am always looking for products I can use to pamper myself with at home. One of my favourite things to do on a Friday evening after the kids have gone to bed and my husband has gone out to play poker with the boys, is binge watch Netflix and treat myself to an at-home spa night. The Body Shop’s Spa of the World collection is full of products perfect for a night like that, and I have two to review today!

Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay
the body shop spa of the world the body shop spa of the world the body shop spa of the world Rhassoul clay is treasured by Moroccan women for its skin firming power, as this mineral-rich mask absorbs excess water and oil, allowing skin to tighten and feel firmer as it dries. Use this toning mask as part of our revitalising ritual when you want your body and mind to feel re-energised.

Contours the body to leave skin looking and feeling more toned
Revitalises body and mind

The instructions are to apply a thin layer to your tummy, arms, and legs… let it work for 10 minutes and then rinse off using firm circular motions. The mask absorbs oil and water which makes your skin appear more toned.

To start, it smells amazing. It’s relaxing and exactly what I’d expect a clay body mask to smell like at the spa. No getting around it, it’s messy… you’re putting clay all over your body. I make sure to put down some towels or a sheet that I can toss in the wash afterwards so I don’t have to stand for the 10 – 15 minutes I leave it on. I’ve only been using this once a week because right now I just don’t have time (prep, application, leaving it on, rinsing it off takes 30 – 40 minutes) and while I don’t notice a difference right after rinsing, I do notice it the next morning. My skin feels softer and less jiggly, and my cellulite appears reduced. It isn’t a miracle treatment that is going to get rid of all the extra fluff on my stomach, legs and arms but it feels really great… and that’s worth the $22 for me! I will be picking up the Body Mask Brush to add to that ‘spa feeling’ and to keep my hands clean!

Polynesian Monoï Radiance Oil
the body shop spa of the world the body shop spa of the world Used by the women of the Pacific Islands for over 2,000 years for luscious, glowing skin and hair, Monoï is a sacred blend of coconut oil and fragrant tiare flowers – a sublime escape to paradise. Use this radiance-enhancing oil as part of our blissful ritual when your body is in need of luxury.

I wish I could bathe in this. Sometimes I just open the bottle and smell it for a bit. I’ve never smelt a tiare flower before, but I will be looking for products that have this scent because I absolutely love it. I apply it to my skin after getting out of the shower and a bit to my hair after blowdrying. It leaves my skin feeling amazing and my hair looking shiny and healthy.

  1. That oil is the best! It was the first item I opened when I got everything and I am halfway through it already. I use it on my legs every night and put it in my hair and it smells so good!

    1. I have to do it when my husband is out of the house because he looks at me like I’m crazy… even worse when I put a paper face mask on at the same time. I am consistently impressed with their new products, and all this new higher end looking packaging is wonderful!

  2. These new products sound wonderful! I’ve never smelled a tiare flower either, but I’ll have to check it out next time I go by TBS.
I love to pamper myself at home too, I often do mini pedicures while watching tv.
