I needed to replace a few essentials and instead of going to Sephora (almost 4 months since my last purchase!), I thought I would try some new-to-me drugstore alternatives to save some money. Here’s how much I saved vs. what I would have bought at Sephora:
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Espresso: $11.99 vs. ABH Brow Wiz in Dark Brown: $27.00
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Black: $11.99 vs. ABH Brow Wiz in Ebony: $27.00
NYX Black Matte Liquid Liner: $9.99 vs. KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper: $25.00
NYX Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray: $9.99 vs. KVD Lock ’N Load Makeup Setting Mist: $30.00
Could have spent: $109
Only spent: $43.96
My amazingly talented sister-in-law does hair and gel nails, and with my nails constantly breaking I asked her if she would give me some pretty new almond shaped ones. (She also gave me an amazing haircut, I’ll talk about that later this week!) They are a lot longer than I’ve ever had before and so they are taking some getting used to, but I love them. She painted them a beautiful nude shade, but last night I decided I wanted something bold… so I went with the hottest pink I have in my collection: piCture pOlish Sizzle!
I’ve said it before, but I love a good face mask. I don’t have the time or money to go to a spa regularly (or at all really), so I love finding products that give me a bit of that same relaxing feeling in the comfort of my own home. I wrote awhile ago about my current favourite hydrating mask which is also by The Body Shop (the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask), but I also need to exfoliate regularly so I was excited to try their Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask.
