September was a big month for the kids; Cordelia turned 4 and started ballet, and Bobby started Grade 3. I already feel like I took for granted how relaxed the summer was, it really didn’t feel that way at the time. We have settled into a pretty good routine though, and while it does feel like we aren’t accomplishing everything we’d like to each week… we are happy and (mostly) healthy so that’s all that matters.
Hard to believe that summer is almost over, I feel like it just started. (Seriously haven’t even unpacked Bobby’s backpack from last year yet and we have to do back to school shopping tomorrow!)
We spent the last two weekends up at my in-law’s cottage in Slave Lake; the long weekend with them and this past weekend just the four of us. Both weekends were absolutely wonderful, and while we have a ton of stuff around the house to catch up on it was totally worth it.
A few weeks ago my husband came up with a fabulous idea: to take the kids to Drumheller for a little family adventure! We kept it a secret right up until we got in the truck, though Bobby knew something was up because we were leaving the house over an hour earlier than normal.
