Julep Orbital Eyeshadow - SupernovaSorry it’s been so quiet around here lately, haven’t had much time to get blogging done lately. I have so many great items to share with all of you so hopefully life will settle down soon and I can get caught up.

One of those great items is the new(ish) Orbital Eyeshadow by Julep. I got it in my Maven box a couple months ago. I chose the shade Supernova – a charcoal eyeshadow with electric orchid pearlescence. Dry it is subtle – but damp it is stunning! I don’t usually apply my eyeshadow damp, so this was a bit of a learning experience for me. For the look below I applied it dry all over my lid and blended into my crease and then used a damp all over shadow brush (from using UD All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray) to pat it on my lids. I don’t own anything else like this, and I really love it.

Do you apply your eyeshadow damp? Any tips?

  1. This is so unbelievably similar to the Lise Watier ones. Same packaging and all. Definitely looks stunning when applied wet. You’re looking gorgeous as per usual!

  2. This is SUCH a pretty color! I love purples! I always apply my eyeshadows with a damp brush-I use E.L.F. make-up setting spray, which is an awesome dupe for UD’s and a lot cheaper. I’ve been amazed at the difference it makes!

    1. That’s really great to know – I’ll have to check it out. I am loving the UD spray but would love a cheaper version for wetting brushes! Thanks for the tip Chelsie πŸ˜€

  3. I do occasionally apply my shadows wet. It’s a hard task to accomplish and make it look nice but you seem to have done a wonderful job! The color is so pretty.

  4. I hate the fact that everything always looks so good on you, yet if I tried it, I’d look as though I’d been punched!!!

    These are such beautiful colours.
