landeva organics skincare review

Landeva Organics ReviewI am trying really hard to get rid of chemicals in our house and our life, and a big part of that is beauty products. I know that with the amount of things I use that will be difficult to do completely, but whenever I can I would really like to move towards natural products, so I was excited to test out some skincare products from Landeva Organics. Not only are they all natural, they are also Canadian, and never use ingredients from organizations that test on animals.

The package I received was easily the most amazing smelling thing I’ve ever gotten in the mail. Instantly my living room smelled like a spa and I couldn’t wait to test them. I slowly worked each product in to my routine, giving a couple days in between so my skin could adjust and I could make sure I had no reaction. I’ve listed the items below with my review in the order I started using them, but TL;DR: I love them all!

Hair and Body Oil
$29.00 | 3.8 Fl oz

Landeva Organics ReviewThe luxurious fusion of organic Argan Oil and high quality all natural oils like organic Camellia seed, jojoba, avocado and coconut enriched with vitamin E and pure essential oils, creates a powerful and unique treatment for the body and hair that smells divine.

This multitasking dry oil will absorb instantly leaving the skin silky soft. At the same time, it can provide intense hydration to dry and damaged hair, instantly smooths texture and adds shine for a glossy, radiant finish while nourishing and rejuvenating your hair from within. It can also be used as a facial cleansing oil, or as a makeup remover.

This was the first product I tried, and I can’t get enough. The smell really is divine. I haven’t used it as a facial cleansing oil or makeup remover as I still have my Julep Bare Face that I enjoy, but I have been working a bit in to my hair while it’s still damp after a shower and it leaves my hair looking shiny without looking greasy. I’ve also been using it all over as moisturizer as soon as I get out of the shower. I am really bad at forgetting to put on moisturizer after a shower, and with the dry winter my legs especially tend to get very dry and itchy, but because I love the smell of this so much I rarely forget and my skin is thanking me for it!

Argan Oil & Frankincense Serum
$30.00 | 1.7 Fl oz

Landeva Organics ReviewA Nature Infusion for Radiant Skin. This carefully crafted organic blend of Argan oil (50%), pure essential oil of frankincense, organic Camellia seed oil, and vitamin E, balances, hydrates, improves texture and enlivens skin leaving it refreshed, nourished and positively glowing. Absorbs instantly, leaving no oily residue and is completely non-comedogenic.

Organic, 100% natural. suitable for all skin types, especially beneficial for mature skin.

This was the second product I worked in to my routine, and once again – it smells amazing. It’s not a product I would use in the morning or when I have to put makeup on right after, because while it does absorb quickly I am very rushed in the morning and tend not to wait long enough for things to set. However; I have been using this after getting out of the shower on my face and décolletage and I really like how it leaves my skin feeling moisturized without feeling oily. I do still use my Julep Night Shift mask overnight, and haven’t had any breakouts like I did when I was using regular moisturizer underneath, so that’s a big win for me.

Rose Nourishing Toner
$20.00 | 3.8 Fl oz

Landeva Organics ReviewRose Water is one of the most ancient and revered beauty treatments used today. It is a gentle, all natural ingredient with fabulous skin-enhancing benefits.

Our rose toner is a softening, and refreshing mist that gently sweeps away impurities and nourishes. The addition of MSM, antioxidant-rich fruit extracts, botanical extracts, and organic aloe Vera juice further enhances the actions of Rose Water. This energizing facial mist will revitalize and hydrate all skin types.

All Natural. Suitable for all skin types and especially beneficial for dry and mature skin types.

I need to pick up a full size because my tester is almost gone. I use this every morning after my Youth Eye Concentrate by The Body Shop as a quick pick me up to refresh my skin before starting my makeup routine. It’s fantastic!

Nourishing Detox Facial Soap
$9.00 | min 120g

Landeva Organics ReviewLandeva Organics ReviewFight skin congestion without leaving your complexion irritated and parched by starting your regimen with Landeva Nourishing Facial Detox Soap. Each bar contains a combination of activated charcoal and Moroccan clay, which work together to draw toxins, excess oil and impurities from the pores. At the same time, goat’s milk and a blend of nourishing plant oils condition and rehydrate the skin. The result is clearer pores, less frequent breakouts and skin that feels soft to the touch. Handcrafted in small batches, this luxurious soap is 100% natural and lightly scented with a combination of pure essential oils chosen for their therapeutic benefits.

Landeva herbal soaps are handcrafted with vegetable oils, exotic butters, goat milk, clays, herbs and essential oils that have a long history of use in herbal medicine. Each bar of soap is handmade from scratch in small batches using the traditional cold process method, then naturally air-dried for at least 6 weeks to create a heavier, longer-lasting bar. And like any other Landeva product, they are absolutely free from any artificial fragrance or color, on the other hand, they are slightly scented with pure essential oils and naturally colored with herbs, botanicals and clays.

This was the last product I worked in to my routine, and I have developed a love/hate relationship with it. I have been using it with my Clarisonic, rubbing a bit on to the brush and a bit on my face. First off, like every other product I tried, it smells like something you’d have used on you at a spa. I love that it’s all natural, and while at first I didn’t like how it left my skin feeling (sorta squeaky clean), I’ve come to appreciate it – especially since the Argan Oil & Frankincense Serum instantly makes my skin feel hydrated again.

But I have a real problem with bars of soap, of any kind. I like my products to be contained in packaging because I never have a good place to store bars, and I always forget and leave them on the side of the sink… so then when I go to use them the next time, they stick. Not the product’s fault, totally mine. Maybe I just need to buy myself a really nice bar soap holder!

Konjac Sponge

Landeva Organics ReviewYou will love washing your face with this all natural cleansing tool. Remove impurities and dead skin cells while massaging and improving blood circulation. The Konjac sponge is made from a natural food material called Konjac. It has been widely used as a kind of medical and edible natural plant for more than 2,000 years! The sponge is very soft, yet, it provides deep cleansing by gently exfoliating the skin and removing dead skin cells. Research in Japan has proven that the konjac sponge can clean deeper that any wash cloth designed for sensitive skin.

The sponge is all natural without any chemicals added. 100% vegan, biodegradable, and suitable for the most delicate skin types.

I haven’t used this yet – because I am too in love with my Clarisonic. I have used Konjac sponges in the past and really did like them, so if you are looking for an alternative to using your hands or a washcloth but don’t want to spend a ton of money, I definitely recommend giving this a try!

These products have been a fantastic addition to my skincare routine, and I am so happy I had the opportunity to try them. I am also extremely intrigued by the Activated Charcoal Detox Clay Mask, and will be giving that a try if my skin acts up at all again like it did last year!

Do you look for natural skincare products? If you use bar soap, how do you store it?

    1. I can really honestly only speak for my own skin – but it is sensitive and I have had bad reactions to products in the past, which is why now when I’m trying something new I work things in slowly. I haven’t had any negative reactions, and in fact my skin feels soft and amazing.

  1. Charcoal soap! How cool, I’ve heard that charcoal pouches can go in sneakers to de-funk the smell out of them, but haven’t heard use of it on the face (wait…. maybe for masks I have..)

    1. Yeah I’ve never used it in a soap either, only in clay masks, but since changing up my routine to the clarisonic and these products I haven’t had to use a mask at all!

  2. GIIIIRLL… I want to try ALL of these! I love konjac sponges and am currently using a lava one. I also use rose water toners and argan oil for my hair and body. I bet everything smells absolutely amazing. I love how elegant the packaging looks. It compliments your blog’s theme!!! <3

    1. I definitely can’t use whatever I want on my skin – I have had some serious reactions to some products (even ones that some people swear by – like Cerave cream)

However; if what you are using is working – then no point in changing!
