september highlights

Hard to believe we just finished the first full week of October. September was such a big month it seemed to end as soon as it started – Bobby started grade 1, Cordelia turned 2, my mother and brother came to visit and my SIL got married! I wanted to share some of the photos from our big month – so here are some pics from Bobby’s first day of school and Cordelia’s little birthday party. ♥ Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating this weekend!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I don’t think I’ve posted weekly highlights since Christmas, we’ve had a never ending circle of sickness and January was a busier month than anticipated.

On to the fun stuff though – The big highlights in January were of course Bobby’s 5th birthday, and my sister-in-law and her husband had a baby boy! ♥ He showed up a few weeks early but both mommy and baby are doing well and he is so precious 🙂

With Bobby in Kindergarten, we decided to actually throw him a birthday party this year – and chose The Fun Dome. The great thing about this place is it is booked strictly for your party, so there are no other kids running around! It had bouncy castles / slides, mini golf, a room with smaller toys and large building blocks, and after all the playing the kids had hot dogs and of course cupcakes. Bobby said it was the best birthday ever – and that all the kids were talking about it at school on Tuesday, so I think it was successful!

What were your highlights this week / month? Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday everyone! Last Friday was Cordelia’s birthday and we gave her her first taste of cake! She didn’t really eat it, but her reaction to it was completely different from her brother who didn’t even want his fingers in it.

Then on Sunday we celebrated Cordelia’s birthday with some family which was really nice. Now that Cordelia stands and walks on her own pretty well, Bobby has started holding her hands and walking around with her – it’s pretty much the cutest thing ever. He picked out a Figaro stuffie to give to her for her birthday and she has been chewing on it ever since.

By the end of the day Cordelia was wiped and asleep instantly, so when we got home I sat with Bobby while he did his homework. It’s so fun watching him learn, and enjoy learning. The rest of the week has been spent with most of us being sick which hasn’t been fun, but it is cold and flu season!
