bite beauty mauvember 2016The hairiest month of the year has arrived, and Bite Beauty is celebrating it with another limited edition lipstick inspired by Founder Susanne Langmuir’s father beating prostate cancer. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Movember, men all over the country shave their face and grow out their mustaches throughout November to raise awareness and money for cancer. The Movember Foundation started in 2003 and raised $17.5 million in 2015 alone, funding over 1,000 programs for mens issues focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. Over 5 million men now participate every year, and 83% of funds raised are allocated to men’s health programs.

Prostate cancer Prostate cancer kills 35 men every hour.
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men under 40.
• Every minute a man dies from suicide.
• Only 1 in 4 Canadian men met the CSEP exercise guideline of 150 minutes per week

On to the lipstick – Mauvember 2016 has more of a pink tone than last year (comparison shots below), and it’s in the new Amuse Bouche formula which I love. It also has an adorable mustache print on one side, and 2016 on the other. The other big change is that this year it is available in both Canada and the United States! One hundred percent of BITE’s proceeds and half of all Mauvember 2016 lipstick sales go directly to the Movember Foundation, so it’s a wonderful way to support a great cause… and get a beautiful new lipstick!
