weekly highlights

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas out there! Yesterday my little man and I hopped on a school bus and went to the Festival of Trees with his kindergarten class. It was so much fun! He wrote a letter to Santa, decorated a tree, made a gingerbread man, and we looked at all the beautiful trees and gingerbread houses. I wasn’t feeling festive before this, but I am in it now! Unfortunately our trip was a little rushed as the roads were awful and it took us a lot longer to get there than anticipated, so I am really looking forward to going next year as a family and taking our time.

merry christmas and happy holidays!

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season. It seems like just last week I put the tree up, and already it’s almost time to take it down. It was our little Cordelia’s first Christmas, which made it extra special. We had to wake my 4 year old up to open presents so we could Skype with my parents and then rush over to my in-laws for an amazing breakfast, followed by more presents, some always enjoyable family time, and then the most amazing turkey dinner ever. Here are just a few pictures from our little family:

I feel so lucky and blessed to be surrounded by so much love. I hope you all are too! What did Santa leave you under the tree?
