Our day home was going to be closed for two weeks and I thought it would be the perfect time to spend some extra time with my youngest… That time has already come to an end and I feel completely different than I thought I would.
I thought by now I would be counting down the hours until I went back into the office, stressed out from how difficult it was to get work done with Cordelia demanding constant attention, struggling with getting Bobby ready for school and then getting him to and from school every day. I thought I’d be begging for adult interaction or an excuse to do my makeup. It would be easier if that was how I felt right now.
I think I should change the tagline of my blog to ‘better late than never’, this month has completely gotten away from me. Obviously I have dropped the ball on my goal of posting 3x a week and I’ll write a post at some point about my current slump, but today I wanted to share highlights from our little Easter weekend.
It’s the first time since Christmas that we were able to spend this much time together as a family, and it was so wonderful. We played board games, painted eggs, watched movies, and of course had an egg hunt! Easter weekend is the only time I don’t have to bug the kids to clean their rooms or pick up their toys because we have told them the Easter Bunny only leaves eggs in clean rooms ♥.
Yesterday was Bobby and Daddy’s first Taekwondo Winter Tournament and they’d been looking forward to it for weeks. We weren’t sure how well Cordelia would do at an almost all-day event, so we took both vehicles just in case. Cordelia really wanted to participate too and kept saying how big of a girl she was, so Bobby spent some time showing her his pattern before running off to see his friends.
