I was introduced to The Body Shop Drops of Youth line back in 2015 and like almost all products from The Body Shop, they were an instant hit. One of the products I reviewed then, (the Youth Concentrate) is also below… but the packaging has changed and because this is my current routine I wanted to include it again.
I had been using Murad’s White Brilliance line which I love, but my bank account does not. I still use the Murad White Brilliance Cleanser with my Clarisonic, but with my resolution of simplifying skincare I am going to try and stick with these because my skin feels great, and they are more budget-friendly. I have been using all three of these since the middle of November, so while the originals were PR samples, the photos are of the new ones I bought as I was almost out of the cream and new products photograph better.
I am really loving this Oils of Life Gel Cream from The Body Shop. The glass jar packaging is simple and beautiful, and I have become a big fan of the gel formula. It absorbs extremely quick into my skin and I’m able to apply my primer immediately after which makes my morning routine just a bit faster. (every minute counts!) It has an earthy scent to it that isn’t overwhelming, but it is different – my husband likes that it is a moisturizer he can use that doesn’t smell ‘girly’.
Our Oils of Life™ Intensely Revitalizing Gel Cream is a lightweight moisturizer that nourishes the skin with a non-greasy feel. Essential oils leave skin feeling softer, hydrated, and radiant, while illuminating micro pearls create a radiant finish.
We searched around the world and selected 3 precious seed oils known for their supreme revitalizing and repairing properties on skin:
Black Cumin Seed Oil from Egypt- known for its concentration in antioxidants
Rosehip Seed Oil from Chile- rich in repairing omega 3 and 6
Camellia Seed Oil from China- naturally rich in nutritive oleic acid
For more intense moisture – they also have this in a cream, and I am intrigued by the facial oil.
The Body Shop has their Black Friday sale going on now and while this line isn’t included in the offers, there are a lot of great deals including a tote with products valued at $100 for only $30 when you spend $30 so be sure to check it out!
