This gorgeous palette came out during my no buy in the summer, they had it listed as a permanent item so I didn’t feel rushed to buy it… and then I waited patiently for over 2 months for it to come back in stock. It was worth the wait. Modern Renaissance is my second ABH palette, the first being the beautiful Master Palette by Mario.
A present-day take on Renaissance colors, this eye palette features 14 shades that let you create stylish, day to night looks. From the earthy yellow and ultra-matte finish of Golden Ochre to Primavera’s shimmer gold with a metallic finish, this palette’s high-pigment shadows are crease and fade-resistant and are sure to bring modern elegance to your eye looks.
Continuing my never-ending quest of playing catch-up on products I received months ago… The Maybelline Color Jolt Intense Lip Paints are, in one word, amazing. I received 3 shades to review: Stripped Down, Berry Naughty, and Red-dy or Not.
Lip Studio™ Color Jolt™ Intense Lip Paint delivers shocking color and shine. Amp up the intensity with 8x more pigment in every drop. Maybelline’s vibrant lip paint glides on to deliver a jolt of intense color.
They are a lot like the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, both in terms of packaging and how they feel on my lips. These are cheaper than the Too Faced lipsticks, but there is also less product. ($11.99 CAD for 0.21 oz vs. $25.00 CAD for 0.4 oz) so the overall cost is about the same.
Another review of a product I bought months ago… this little beauty made me break my no-buy in September, and even though it’s no longer for sale I thought I would share it anyway just in case one day it becomes permanent (like they did with Champagne Pop!)
First off, the packaging: I absolutely love that they used rose gold instead of the regular matte black so I can tell exactly what it is without opening it. It isn’t an issue for me now because I only have the two Becca pressed powders, but with how much I love them both I will definitely pick up more in the future! The shattered glass design is beautiful, even though I know it will start to disappear in a few more uses.
