weekly highlights

We had a pretty low key week which was really nice. We watch a lot of Doc McStuffins in this house and Bobby has decided he wants to be a Doctor – he even explained the difference between a stethoscope and an otoscope to me. I will do anything I possibly can to encourage a dream like that, regardless of how short lived it might be, so we went out and bought him a Doc McStuffins Doctor kit and he has spent most of the week diagnosing and treating us and his stuffed animals. I can’t tell you how many times we have marched around the house singing

I feel better, so much better, thank you Doc for taking all the ouches away.
I didn’t feel so good till you fixed me like I knew that you would
And I feel better, so much better, now.

He had soccer on Wednesday but it was freezing outside and started raining halfway through so it was cut short. It’s been pretty dreary all week but we had one nice day during the weekend so we got out and played with some bubbles. Cordelia has mastered crawling and is loving being able to follow her brother all over the place. First day of Summer tomorrow so I am hoping it warms up and we get some sun so we can spend more time outside and less watching the Lego movie over… and over… and over. (At least it’s hilarious)

And of course a picture of Nutty.. who has become so comfortable he doesn’t run away anymore when we open the door to take out garbage.

Finally I also wanted to share the video I put together (with the help of my little guy) for my amazing husband for Father’s Day.

What were your highlights this week? Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. I’ve got to say that I love all your photos! And the name Cordelia? Gasp. So precious. I just might have to keep that in mind when we start having a family. =) Loved this little glimpse into your day.

  2. It was a dreary week here too in the beginning (NJ). I so miss watching Disney Junior and Nick Junior. My kids have outgrown it now (6 & 10). I actually miss Dora and The Neverland Pirates and all that good stuff.

    1. Aw that’s so sweet. I was actually surprised that he kept playing with it – I expected it to be forgotten about like so many other ‘on a whim’ toys we buy.

  3. Your kiddos are just too squishable! And, that squirrel! <3 Sounds like they had a wonderful week! Here's to the next being just as beautiful! <3
