Weekly Weigh-In (Feb 1)

It’s been a few weeks since my last weight loss update, and because I seem to struggle with regularly posting I thought it would help if I rebranded to ‘weekly weigh-in’ so that I can post any time vs. waiting for (and consistently missing) Wednesdays. With that said… on to the weigh-in!

Exercise Log
Jan 7 – 13: 4 days
Jan 14 – 20: 4 days
Jan 21 – 27: 4 days

I had set my goal at 5 days a week and did not hit it this month, I don’t even have an excuse… I just didn’t. I did a much better job of balancing my calories in and calories out though. Most days I maintained my 1200 net calorie goal, occasionally going over to 1400 for celebrations (my son turned 8!). Even though I didn’t hit my exercise goal I am really proud of the progress I made this month, so I took advantage of Bobby being at a friend’s birthday party for 3 hours and I treated myself to a day of self-care on Sunday. I bought a few new shirts (size medium! down from XL) two pairs of pants (size 14! down from 18), a few candles and smelly bath stuff from Bath & Body Works, and a new yoga mat and book from Chapters. It was much needed and I have felt revitalized all week because of it.

We made the switch from coffee to tea on Monday and it was easier than I expected. Probably because I never *really* liked the taste of coffee, I just liked having a hot beverage in the morning. I used to put a heaping tablespoon of sugar and an ounce of cream in my coffee (x2 a day), and now I put a teaspoon of sugar and no cream in my ginger peach black tea. I’ve also cut out added salt. I used to treat salt like Franks and put that sh*t on everything, and while I still use it for cooking, I have stopped adding more to my plate before eating.

Progress photos! I am finally starting to notice a difference in my arms and my thighs, and my butt has a definitive end vs. just melding into my legs.

I am so excited to get down to 199, and then to hit the 40lbs weight loss mark. ♥

    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I always love how you’re smiling in both your BEFORE and AFTER shots. Gives me the warm fuzzies.

    1. Thanks mom – the one quote that sticks with me is ‘lose weight in the kitchen, get fit in the gym’ so I am mostly focusing on my calories, but the exercising helps for days when I want to eat a bit more! (good for the heart and lungs too!!)
