I’m not even going to pretend anymore—I just cannot call this a weekly weigh-in when my last update was four months ago haha. I have been wanting to get this all out for a while now so I’m happy I had a few minutes to do so today, if only for myself.
Starting Weight: 237 lbs
Previous Check-in: 192 lbs (April 8)
Current Weight: 181.5 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 55.5 lbs
I hit my 1-year anniversary of healthier living and MFP tracking almost two weeks ago which was really exciting for me. Even when I am taking a break and eating at maintenance I still make sure to log because it keeps me accountable and stops me from going on one of my crazy pre-weight loss binges.
The biggest change I’ve noticed over the past 10lbs is my confidence. I initiate conversations with people so much more now, I hold my head up and smile at strangers more, I wear brighter colours and I no longer feel like I need my makeup to be perfect before I leave the house.
My progress has obviously slowed over the past 4 months because I’ve been having more maintenance (or slightly above maintenance) days than calorie deficit days lately, but that’s okay. This isn’t a diet—it’s my life. I’m healthier, happier, and I still think I’ll reach my current goal weight (160lbs) by the end of the year.
I bought a new dress at Laura for a wedding we attended a couple of weeks ago. The last time I bought a dress there it was a size 18—this time I tried on a 12 and it was too big… so I bought a size 10!!
While I was 237 lbs when I started tracking, I know I was in the 240s for quite a while just based on how my clothes were fitting (or not fitting), so to be this close to the 170s (which I haven’t been in since I was 23) is fabulous.
It’s amazing the difference one year can make—I can’t wait to see where I’m at next year. I’ll try really hard to update before then. 😉
