December was a busy month, and between social events and chronic pain issues, it wasn’t as productive weight-loss wise as I had hoped it would be. It’s okay though… this is a marathon, not a sprint, and even if I’m taking two steps forward and one step back I am still making progress.

Dec 17 – 23: 1 day
Dec 24 – 30: 4 days
Dec 31 – Jan 6: 3 days
Starting this week my goal of 5 days a week is back in play, and while I did okay overall with eating, I did indulge a bit too much in Lindt Chocolate Truffles, and chips & dip.

I had hit 207 right before the holidays, which was an exciting goal for me… and then between Christmas and New Years I was back up to 210. The holiday season made it obvious that my willpower is not as strong as I had thought it was, and while it’s easy for me to avoid buying bad food if it’s in the house it is very hard for me to avoid eating it. I am not currently one of those people who can have 1 piece of chocolate, I eat 5 or 6 and wake up the next morning feeling awful and swearing I won’t do it again… until that night when I do it all over again. For now I will just try to avoid having it in the house!
My next milestone is 199, it’s when I have told myself it’ll be time for a shopping trip. I’ve been getting rid of everything that no longer fits me because I worry that if I hold on to them I’ll one day end up wearing them again, but as someone with an already limited wardrobe… I’m slowly running out of clothes so I am looking forward to that trip! It’ll be a weight I haven’t been in 10 years, and I am excited to get there. ♥
